Where are the days going? A week tomorrow since we got the keys to this place and I'm still not fully unpacked. Of course with Phill being sick and the kids being home for whatever reason, I am having to do all of the unpacking and putting away as well as the day to day stuff like cooking, and washing clothes and pet care and cleaning and it goes on. I have been making Phill stay in bed and just stay still as that is what is best for his ailment, he got bacon, egg and tomato with toast for breakfast, home made pea soup and toast for lunch, and tonight I knew I had to cook something healthy so I made Lemon Chicken, my fried rice and some pak choy done in the microwave with garlic, then tossed with sesame oil and oyster sauce. I mis read the chicken recipe and instead of the two teaspoons of fresh grated ginger I put in two tablespoons! It was very gingery, I added a bit more honey and soy sauce and it was edible but would have been much nicer with less ginger.
I'm not feeling tired, the extra activity is good for me. Progress is slow but I will get there. Phill is going back to work tomorrow, I hope he's up to it.
The battle with Telstra is ongoing. I rang them AGAIN this morning, and told the newest foreigner that we were going to have to find another Telco provider, this has been going on for almost three weeks now, we have no home phone and no internet. They keep telling us different stories and the latest is that a tech is going to call tomorrow. In the meantime they have given us a $200 credit on our bill (and so they fucking should) and some more credit on the prepaid stick we are using for net access.
I am not feeling at home in this place for some reason. I know we had to get out of where we were at some point, but I really felt comfortable in that house. I'm sure when I get everything unpacked and set up the way I want it I will feel differently.
We have WAY too much stuff.

After 44 years in the same house....talk about STUFF! Mind boggling. I shit you not! Way too much STUFF that I'll leave up to my kids to figure out what to do with it someday.
Trish... you are an AMAZING woman!
My "get up and go" has "got up and went." ;0)
Many happy times in your new home m/f.
It's good to hear that Phill is on the mend.
(((hugs)))
