Was off colour all day yesterday, Em seemed to think it might be food poisoning as she was sick the day before but it doesn't take that long to manifest. I had all plans of getting in and cleaning this house today but after I dropped Josh at school I just felt really, really sick so I am in bed feeling very sorry for myself. If I'm no better tomorrow I'll get Phill to take me to the doctor if we can actually get an appointment here.
I managed to have a shower and get dressed before I took Josh to school so all I have to do is drive the car to pick him up at lunchtime and I'll get Em to run in and get provisions while I wait in the car I think. Then I may have to drive to Junee to get Phill late tonight. I'm breathing in peppermint essential oil and drinking peppermint tea. I have a big piece of fresh ginger so I might make myself some ginger tea later.
I'm wondering if I could be diabetic. I allegedly had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with Sarah, I say allegedly because it didn't recur in my two subsequent pregnancies with Em and Josh and I never had any high readings after the initial GT test. So I guess it will blood tests and God knows what else.
There was a terrible road accident out by the golf course early on Saturday when a car carrying four young people crashed into a tree and burst into flames, incinerating all of them. While the kids and I were discussing the victims Emily realised one of them, a 17 year old boy, was a former classmate of hers. She was so upset and shocked, turns out she had had a crush on him when she first came to the school. It's just so hard for children to come to terms with death. I lost my much loved grandfather when I was 11 and I remember really struggling with it all.
The mood in the town is very sombre, it hits a small town hard when something like that happens. I was very clingy with my own two teenagers, I can't imagine how the mothers of these people are feeling right now.
Only two more days of this seemingly interminable Winter even though minus temps are still forecast for well into next week.
Wish I had some chicken soup......

Get well soon Trish.
P.S. Thank you for all your wonderful comments to me. Some tickle me and it's so nice to hear well meant warm wishes from so many of my blogger friends.
(((hugs)))Pat
Poor Trish I'm sorry your not feeling well. I hope you get better soon my friend. It so weird that your winter is almost over and our fall will be beginning soon-I love fall and spring, can't stand the thought of winter and being stuck in the house!
wish you were here..have a huge pot of chicken soup..
I remember some accidents like this when I was young - whole carloads of teens being killed...for a country town it is shocking...I remember when one teenager survived...she had to leave town once she recovered as the mothers of those killed turned on her like animals..apparently she should have died as well... charming!
