I dropped Josh at school, I was worried about him but he was quite positive and cheerful especially when he realised it was a half day because of the swimming trials which he doesn't do. I went down and did some banking then got some groceries and came home and got to work before I had to pick him up at lunch time.
I got a whole lot more stuff done today that I couldn't do over the holidays. I washed the polished boards with special wood wash stuff, got the washing finally all done, dried, folded and put away. Tided Josh's room (didn't need much he's not messy) and dusted and vaccuumed in there. And I cleaned the leather lounge. They told us to do it every six months or so. I bought a special kit, has a cleaning solution then a thick polish type stuff that you rub on and leave for a bit then buff off. The lounges came up beautifully.
I could really see the difference when I'd done the first two and the other single seater hadn't been done. We bought this suite when we moved in here so it's only about 7 months old.
See how shiny my floor is?
The kitchen and dining room clean and tidy. The dining table is new too, we had a big solid pine six seater but it was way too big for this house and we really don't need six chairs anymore.
Phill rang to say he was coming home tonight, he wasn't supposed to be back till Saturday. I thought I might have to go and get him from Junee but he just rang to say he has the work car so that was a relief. I've already made healthy burger patties, heart smart minced beef, with puree cauli, broccoli, grated carrot, garlic, bbq sauce and breadcrumbs and they're in the fridge so dinner will be easy tonight. My friend Pat is counting WW points and she inspired me to start watching my own diet again, I had one scrambled egg on toast (no butter) for brekky, then a tuna and salad sandwich for lunch, so I've done well so far.
I still have the tv room to do, but that will keep for another day. I don't use it and the kids and Phill trash it so I just close the door mostly but it's bugging me now and I'll have to go through it and clean and vac it.
I'm tired but I feel so much better now the house is clean the way I like it.
I had a phone call from the Dist Ed school today and things are looking good, and later a call from the liason person and although it looks like Em will, by my calculations, not be starting school work till probably the end of February at least but at least it's happening, the people are supportive and encouraging and she doesn't have to do Maths at all, which is her weakness (and mine) and will take a lot of the stress off both of us. I doubt she will ever do anything that requires the level of maths that they are doing in high schools today. I wager that even Joshua has learned all the maths that he needs to know to go onto what he wants to do, and to manage his life.
Phill is home, we made hamburgers and watched tv and the kids are laughing their heads off in Emily's room and all is well.

A job WELL DONE! Your house looks SUPER! When that happens...one's spirits get picked up.:0)
I'm taking bites of my 4 Point oatmeal with fresh bananas and blueberries added as I type.
Just being aware of what we put in our mouths can be helpful.
(((hugs)))Pat
