Katherine Julie Frances aged one day, Westmead Hospital September 1989.
It was just the two of us from that day on for years and those years are some of the happiest memories of my life. I am so proud of my daughter.
Was just looking through her baby album, a very modest one as it was all I could afford back then. I'm so glad I kept those books for all of my children.
Funny things that Katy did - "cat skiing" on Ethel's tail. She used to grab the cat's tail and when Ethel took off up the hall, Kate would ride along behind her at about six months of age, so funny (not so funny for Ethel). One day my mother, who was visiting, wanted to get rid of Kate so she could talk (and talk and talk and talk) so she said "Go and draw Ethel". Kate got a crayon started drawing ON Ethel. Once a friend of mine was leaving after a visit and Kate said to him "Don't forget to fall over!" She was about two. Other funny sayings were "Pooey the Bear" for Winnie the Pooh, and her favourite Christmas song "Reddolph the Rude Nosed Reindeer".
So many happy memories of my clever, funny, loving amazing girl and one day we'll live closer together but in the meantime we'll be close anyway.

Those were the times we couldn't know that all too soon our children would be grown and to spend a little more time in The Moment.
