Monday Night at the Movies

Phill got his blu ray dvd/surround sound whatsit set up in the family media room this afternoon and the three of them are in there watching that movie with people with blue faces, can't remember the name of it and it sounds like a movie theatre in there.  I am not a big movie buff, like they are, but I am keen to get in there with some of my own dvds.  I'm thinking Friday night, with home made popcorn and choc tops (yes everything IS about food around here!)
And the good thing tonight is, I can sit in here, in my bed, way at the other end of the house, all by myself watching tv and eating bullets and not feel guilty!  I cooked a lovely roast lamb dinner and cleaned up the kitchen while they went off to the movies so I've done my bit tonight.
Yesterday I made bath salts.  I pretty much made it up as I went.  Epsom salts, some glycerine, I used too much but I will learn as I go, some lavender oil, rose geranium oil and rose oil in jojoba and a bit of rose food colouring.  It was okay but something was missing, or maybe I didn't put enough in the water.  I also made some more bath milk, just powdered milk this time with lemon oil, orange oil, lime oil and lemongrass oil.  The lemongrass was the kicker it really shone through and it was lovely in the bath tonight.  I want to try making some air freshener and some drawer and wardrobe sachets next.
Fields of gold.
We got our new table and chairs for outside and they look great.  We had to take the trailer into Wagga on Saturday afternoon to pick it up and on the way home the box containing all the chair bits and table legs etc blew off the trailer right onto the highway.  Thank goodness nobody was right behind us.  We had to limp back into town to get some rope which we should have had in the first place.  We had to bbq of course so got some chicken breast fillets and did a quick lime and chilli marinade (lime juice, bottled chilli, bottled ginger, garlic, soy sauce and shallots) and let that sit while Phill put the table and chairs together.  Had it with a bought salad and crusty French bread with Walnut and Pecan Pie and Tiramisu Mousse Cake for dessert and that was our Fathers' Day dinner.  Phill got his presents after we ate and was happy with everything I think.
It's getting so warm here, we've been potting some hanging plants for the pergola area, and it's looking really nice out there.
I had more to write but I'm suddenly tired.  I am sleeping better than I can ever remember, and feeling better for it, but by this time of night I'm ready for bed.  Should go back to early morning blogging I think!
