Pulling Teeth

That's what it felt like to go down to the police station tonight to make a statement about Emily's latest escapades.  Constable Plod has been urging us to do this but I've been putting him off.  Josh had his excursion today, to Canberra, bit of a fizzer as it turned out.  We picked him up off the bus after six this evening and went down to the station.  We think it went well and he explained a few things to us that will happen with the court case etc.  I can't work this guy out, sometimes it seems like he's judging me, and other times he seems to really understand the situation.  Turns out he has a teenager himself, which I didn't know.  So this thing has to go to court and if she pleads guilty it will be okay, she will probably get either a bond or a court caution.  If she pleads not guilty which I doubt she will, it will carry on, we'll all have to go to court etc.
In other news, and I need to have other news right now, we really need a wardrobe.  We went to the local furniture store and they didn't really have anything, but the sales lady, who Kate and I dealt with last week when we bought the lounge and the tv unit and got very chatty with, discovered she was our near neighbour.  We ended up driving up to Young and buying a really nice wardrobe with a mirror in the middle and two bedsides which we desperately need as the ones we have were cheapies bought when I was pregnant with Katy 22 years ago.  It's so good having nice furniture after all the years of having crap.
Brought some stuff over from the old house, set up the kitchen here a bit, it's great having all the drawers to have pots and pans and plastics in, you can see what you're looking for, no ratting around in dark cupboards.

How cool is my pantry?
The cats are bit spooked by the move, but it's the only home Harley remembers and Noah was born in the old house.  Harley is better because she has the kittens but Noah seems confused.  He is loving the
warm though.  And it's so warm having the under floor heating.  Today it rained and rained and even hailed a bit on our way back from Young.
Tomorrow is another day and we need to get in and finish unpacking the old place and then get into the cleaning.

Just read through your posts from the past week. You've been through some tough times there. I will pray that all of it sorts out for the best soon.
And your pantry looks lovely.

I want your food pantry!
To die for ....as the saying goes. ;0)

Sometimes when I look back on things.... I think if my son Randy had been stopped sooner and made to pay the consequences for his actions he might have learned a lesson. I admit I was at fault too for lying and covering for him. It was so hard to just sit back and let him take his punishment. Now I'll always wonder if I contributed to the problems he has today. sigh!
