Got up at about 1am to find another healthy live kitten. I knew she was going to have a bumper crop this time as she was so huge. He's mostly black. Poor Harley, they are all over her. I managed to get the birth stained towels out of the nest and put my polar fleece throw from the couch down and they are all snuggled in and sleeping now. I took two bowls of cat milk to her and she gulped it down gratefully.
This house looks even more daggy now with no pictures hanging on the walls and various other things gone or packed. I talked to my oldest, Ali, yesterday and brought her up to speed regarding Emily, and Kate had two nights in a backpacker lodge in Sydney before her plane trip back to Perth this morning. I bet she'll be glad to get back to her own place after this trip!
Today I need to get into some serious packing and cleaning and just basic housekeeping while we're still living here, washing, dishwashing tidying etc. Tonight will be our last night in this house and good riddance, it's been a crappy 21 months and it will be so nice to move up to the new place, much better neighbourhood and no police presence (while ever Emily isn't there anyway). Won't have to hide my valuables, or my toothbrush, make-up, medications etc. She has caused so much damage to this place that we have to rectify. I think we just got used to the chaos that was her and we're slowly realising that life doesn't have to be like that every day and we can have some peace and order in our lives.
I will be so glad when Phill gets home today, we need each other right now and have to work out a plan for when Em comes home, it can't be like it was, that was no good for any of us. Having Kate home has made me see my life and how I am living it, from a totally different perspective. I can't be such a bad mother (although I feel like one) to have raised such a great human being.
Bring on Monday and our new life in our gorgeous new house. Can't do photos till my computer gets fixed.

Oh my goodness.
Are you sure that Harley isn't a rabbit the way she kicks out these litters. ;0)
Best of luck in your new home Trish.

You would have to be one of the best mums - through this blog those of us who have followed the issues know what you have put into it and the grief you have endured. -
