As if I didn 't have enough on my plate, Harley went into labour this afternoon and so far has three live healthy kittens. A calico, a white and ginger patches and a black and white. I think she has at least another one in there, she is in her nest right here by the heater. It is freezing out.
Today we took some stuff up to the house and met the landlady and her boyfriend. She's only young, probably late twenties.
Okay it's later now, and she's had one more live one and a fifth who was dead when it came out. It seems his cord severed as he came out without one poor little one. But we have four healthy, fighting for food kittehs and I'm so relieved. One bright spot in a dark time.
We drove up to Young after meeting the landlady and got Josh a really nice solid wood bedside table at a bargain price. The one he has was from the op shop years ago and is crap. So he'll have all wood in his room, the tallboy that was in there matches his bedside and the pine bookcase, I polished it with good furniture polish and it looks like new. We will get his new king single bed soon which I want to be just like Emily's, wood and metal.
We turned on the under floor gas heating while we were there this afternoon. We had taken up our new bedroom tv and set it up on the new little tv unit that I bought and Josh connected the Wii and sat on his new beanbag in the family room and was in heaven. I went outside to take out some rubbish and the house was so warm when I came back in, there are vents in every room bar the laundry and bathroom.
I also found out we have a vegie garden up in the back corner, Mel, our landlady pointed it out. I was so excited, we were going to buy some seedlings today in Young but forgot. I need to look up what we can plant this time of year anyway. We also have olive trees, young ones.
I am feeling exhausted, both mentally and physically but can't collapse yet, there is to much to do, and so much to think about. I guess I will fall in a heap in a week or two or more.
Watch this space. Or not.

here is to new beginnings...i wish you all the best...moving is so much work , but it keeps the mind and body busy and maybe right now that is a good thing.
I am with twain 12 - here is to new beginnings. Hopefully in a year or so this will seem like a bad nightmare. I don't know what is wrong inside your Em but soon hopefully someone will come along and help you get some real help - for now have some down time - and work is okay as it takes your mind off things a bit.(I hope)
