The Liverpool Plains are so flat. So different to the countryside where we live now.
The kids are good little travellers.
Wish I had taken photos of the first room they tried to put us in. It was an unrenovated room, shabby and the bathroom was through the kids' room. Worse, it smelled like an ashtray. Now smoking in motels in this country is a HUGE no no. If the cleaners get wind of smoke when they clean the motel they can charge the patrons $300 for a complete steam clean of the whole room. I have a really sensitive sense of smell, but Phill could smell and later so could Emily. We also couldn't get internet access down there. Phill went and talked to the office and we asked to change rooms, so now we have a nice renovated, sweetly smelling room which is how it should be, after all we the company are paying a pretty penny for it.
So tomorrow we start to look for a house. It's so odd to come here now knowing this is going to be our home town.
