The first boxes got packed today. Phill turns into a fuckwit when we move, it's all got to be done NOW. Fair enough he packed a lot of the outside stuff but when I found out he'd packed the top of my wardrobe I lost it. I had intended to carefully go through all that stuff and throw away things I didn't want/need (ie pack it all) and I was livid that he had done that and let him know. I had a whole bunch of greeting cards that needed sticking in to the card albums and he packed the rotten things. I managed to find Josh's and Phill's latest albums so could stick cards in them but the others will have to go in a bag until we get to where the fuck we're going.
We had our last bbq in this house tonight and it was bittersweet. Funny when we're about to move I start thinking about all the things I love about whatever house we're in.
THINGS I LOVE
The garden. It has been a loved and tended garden back in the day before the Crazy Landlady took over.
The bathroom only because it was better than the last one we had.
That's it basically.
THINGS I HATE
The crappy falling down house
The Crazy Landlady who thinks it's a fucking palace.
The horrible neighbours, especially the Tiny Little Greasy People next door who spy on us and have a dog who barks incessantly and a cocky who imitates the dog. And they smoke and we can't have windows open on that side of the house.
The slippery tiles on both the front and back porch that if you don't hold on to the railings on a wet day you would break a hip. Or worse.
The daggy kitchen with cupboards that won't stay closed and the cheap (new) stove that doesn't cover the broken tiles.
The pokiness of it all.
The outside laundry.
The dodgy electricals.
Did I mention the Crazy Landlady?
Tomorrow we drive up to Tamworth to find a new house and a new life I guess. Again. We will be away most of the week. Thankfully we found someone to come and feed the animals and get the mail etc.
This is where the fish tank used to be. Those are LEAVES not fish.
Phill took the fish to a fishpond today, I hope they'll be happy there, I will miss them they are the least trouble of all our pets to look after but there were way too many of them and a lot of them were pregnant when he got them out and had a good look at them.
We weren't sure what to do with the concrete double laundry tub that was their home which we brought with us from Junee and that Phill had "renovated" by smashing a hole in the middle wall to give them more swimming room. He wanted to just leave it here but I knew CL would have a fit so we've decided to put it in middle yard and put some of our pots in it, the chilli, the lemongrass and thyme and fill it all up with potting mix. They can't argue with that, it adds to the house, like the lemon tree we planted out front. We always try to leave a house better than how we found it and this little place will be no exception.
What's with this "Planking" thing? I really don't get it.
I'm sorry, I just don't get it.

Its all full steam ahead at your place - its funny to imagine someone elses life and the happenings all happening in a parallel time - we are so aware of our own happenings and out there on this planet billions of other lives are having all sorts of different happenings at the same time as i type this in here.
Planking? Its boring if thats the latest craze they can come up with God help us all we've really been dumbed down
