None of us really want to but of course all good things come to an end and early tomorrow we will pack up the car and head home to drizzly Cootamundra. Phill has left just now and gone to work and tomorrow will move to another motel to finish his stint up here. The weather has been just wonderful, perfect Autumn clear warm days and coolish nights. Today we drove down to Gunnedah, where we lived for a year in 2000/2001 and it was so bittersweet to be there as we were so happy then, the kids were all young and Phill was the boss of the depot there and life was fun and interesting. Em and Josh both went to pre-school there, I was on the committee, they actually changed the rules there to let Josh enroll as he was still in nappies and they didn't have a baby policy. Emily started school there as well.
We had lunch (if I never visit another fast food place in my life it will be too soon) and had a look at the old house, the preschool and other stuff and drove home. Left the kids at the motel and went shopping, just the two of us, I got a new top and a cami to go under it for like $8 at K Mart. We came back and headed to the pool and swam and lazed about, then went out for dinner which was lovely.
It's been a lovely relaxing break away and I've had a lot of time to think and sort things out.
More when I get home.
