Outside my window...
Grey, grey, grey.
I am thinking...
About my mother on her 84th birthday.
I am thankful for...
The children got up early, got themselves ready for school with no nagging, ate a good breakfast and are walking themselves to school. And I got a cup of tea and a kiss in bed from my husband!
From the kitchen...the sound of the dishwasher humming and chicken thawing out for dinner, something with panko crumbs I think.
I am wearing...my pjs, it's early!
I am creating...a welcoming and comfortable home for my family.
I am going...to walk to the shops later, no car today.
I am reading...Arthur Miller's autobiography.
I am hoping...it doesn't rain on the kids as they walk to school.
I am hearing...the kids playing the Wii in the lounge room, and laughing together.
Around the house...is a mess, busy day for me today.
One of my favorite things...laughing with my teenage kids.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Cleaning and cooking. The cooking part I love, the cleaning a necessary evil. Maybe buying a chicken coop, I miss our hens.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
Thinking a lot about my firstborn and her family lately.
I think this is a really nice idea, The Simple Woman's Daybook. It appeals to me I guess because my blog is all about the mundane day to day stuff, which is also what I enjoy reading about from others.

I like the daybook idea. It seems to suit you.
I still can't figure out what my blog is about ;-) I think it is a bit scattered and all over the place. But really so am I. :-)
How beautiful and as well as your mum there is resemblance to you in your daughter - the dad looks nice and the baby is just lovely
