Hoges. Just Pay the Damn Tax Bill and Get Out

It's probably unreasonable of me to get pissed off with people who make it "big" in this country and then proceed to move overseas to live.  I guess that's just my little bugbear thingie.  But come on Paul Hogan, if you owe us a huge tax bill pay the f*cking thing and clear off.  You left the wife who bore your five kids and stuck by you through the hungry years to marry a bimbo.  You pretend to be smart and funny.  You make fun of our tax system on television.  Pay the bill dickhead.  The rest of us have to pay tax why not you?

The mentor called in sick yesterday, so we kept the kids home (call us irresponsible) and went to Wagga and got a new video camera.  The last one got broken in Junee.  This one records on one of those card thingies that you get in digital cameras.  When I figure out how to do it I will be able to put videos on my blog.  Be afraid.

Today I was so sick of the unending rain (couldn't even have the scheduled lounge cleaning done because of the damp) I drove up to Young.  Got me a new frying pan AND Season 9 of Family Guy!!!  Emily is in my room watching it now and guffawing.  Tonight I made Prawn Omelette for me and Phill, he'll be home later, and a new chicken recipe for the kids.  So easy, just chicken thigh fillets tossed in flour, then topped with water, honey and a packet of dried French Onion Soup.  Cooked in a slow oven for an hour and a half.  Really nice, simple dinner.  I did my fried rice to go with it.

Phill goes away again next week but I'm okay with that, not much I can do about it.

It occurred to me today I have three milestone birthdays with my kids this year.  My Katy turns 21 on September 9th, my second born Amanda will turn 30 on October 9th (we share a birthday) and my baby boy becomes a teenager on November 7th.  My niece also turns 40 on October 1st.  We got Katy a simple gold bracelet yesterday and a flask set.  The flask thing is a joke present, she always said she wanted one for some reason, even though she was totally anti drinking.  She isn't now, she parties over there in the west.  We got a cute set on Ebay with the 21st thing on it.  I wish I could be with her for her birthday but it's her choice.  To be there.  She couldn't be further away if she was overseas.  Did I mention that before?
