The Ensemble

That's us.  The four of us, our family at home.  Last night we just hung out, ate some dinner, talked,  laughed, cried over Connor leaving (the black and white kitten who Josh and I decided at the last minute we wanted to keep but it was too late a very nice man was coming to take him home).  I am loving these times with the kids as they grow through their teen years and into the adults they will become.  Phill feels the same, he actually said so a while back.  We have our banter, our way of being a family, our mutual love and respect.  Well love anyway.
I am typing with two kittens dozing on my lap, at just after 6am, been awake again since 4 or so.  We'll probably end up keeping Nigella as well as Noah.  She is such a sweet little girl and reminds us a lot of our Nigel, the best cat in the world who we brought back with us from WA and who disappeared at the hands of the evil pygmy neighbours in Sydney.
Tomorrow I get to see my girl again, and my gorgeous grandson Harvey, we are so excited.  I haven't seen my son in law since Harvey was born so that will be nice too.  Harvey has a cold, and so do I, so we can sniffle together here by the fire and I will read to him.  I will cook for them all and we'll spend time together and laugh and feel awkward sometimes, but that's okay.
They can join the ensemble.

I hope that the visit went as well as possible. What it must be like to know your children can have babies - I will be content when that happens
