She's Coming Home

I've had a shit nine days.  Every waking hour I have had this band of pain across my chest, I really believe our hearts physically hurt sometimes.  As soon as I knew she was coming home it just disappeared.  She texted me this morning to say she hated it there and just wanted to come home.  With a lot of difficulty we made it happen and tonight she is with my darling big sister Julie, having just flown across the country and will get on the train for home early tomorrow and will be in my arms by lunchtime and I will never bloody let her go again.  I know our kids have to leave us, it's the natural order of things, but we were railroaded into this, we all made mistakes and it just wasn't right.  She is 17, barely 17, but not a mature 17 and not ready to leave her mother yet.  There is nothing wrong with that.  Separation from the parental unit will happen in it's own time, and that time is not now.  And certainly not to be on the other side of the country.
Phill and I have decided that, whether we stay together or not, we will not be far from our children and will work together to make that happen.
We've all learned a lot from this.
