Sniffles

I seem to have a constantly runny nose, I know I developed hay fever in my late forties having never had any problems like that before but this is different, it's almost Winter so no reason for hay fever.  Phill thinks it could be the severe dust factor that we had in the old house, due to the truck yard just two doors down.  That house was always coated in dust no matter how I cleaned it.  Will be interesting to see if it improves being here.
Yesterday I had to drive Phill to Junee to work, then came back and had a quick breakfast before working for four solid hours in the old place cleaning.  It was filthy when we moved in but it's beautiful now, I outdid myself and they won't get us on cleanliness.  There is a small burn in the bedroom carpet, the only room in the house that didn't have bare floorboards and I think I can cobble that up once the carpet miracle worker has done his magic tomorrow morning.  So the house is empty and spotless, Phill just has to do the lawns and bring the trailer here.  We brought Max home and he hit the ground sniffing, didn't even seem surprised that he has a new home, just went about his business sniffing and pissing on everything in the backyard.  I put him to bed early in the garage and we heard him barking a bit, I'm hoping he's just adjusting to the new place.  I need to get a heating pad for him, it's not as cosy as his laundry digs were at the old place, and every year he seems to feel the cold more.
I went to pick Phill up from work and we came back and he solved the laundry problems as I knew he would, brilliant man that he is!  We found can remove the top of the dishwasher to fit it under the laundry bench which is great.
We had to go to the club for the draw for the boat package that we've been entering all year.  I was a mess after my day cleaning, had a shower and we all got dressed and went down, the club was packed and there was no way we were going to get a meal anytime soon so we went across the road to the Globe and had dinner there and Phill just ran in to the club for the draw. We didn't win, but we already have a boat.
It's 4am and I am in the lounge room, so cosy here with carpet on the floor after the last two houses just having bare boards.  I can hear Phill snoring from here (which is why I am out here).  The mouth thingy and the new reflexology ring is clearly not working right now.  I don't know what the answer is.  I know he is worse when he drinks wine as we did last night, and he needs to lose weight.
Big day again today, the pay tv guy is coming, to put in three outlets even though we still don't have the nod from the landlord.  I have to drive Phill to Temora for work, and Em starts her half yearly exams, which she is very nervous about.  This house looks like a bomb has gone off with unpacked boxes everywhere.  And me with little sleep should make for a lovely combination.
There is an old bloke who lives in the flats next door to us here.  Every time we go outside he seems to need to sweep. And sweep.  I caught sight of him and he looks like a grumpy old fellow.  He knows our landlords and I think he feels he has to keep watch over us and report back or something.  I have named him the Grim Sweeper.  Em and I were talking about how we can bait him, by having loud conversations while outside about having a fire in the loungeroom (there is no fireplace), or making chlorine bombs or knocking out walls.  I feel that the people who own this house are lovely and will appreciate having good tenants who will treat this house as their own (apart from the chlorine bombs and the fires).
Okay I'm off back to bed to kick the snorer out if I have to.

I am glad the move went so well and is over - apart from unpacking...He might be the Grim Sweeper or just curious - could be lonely if by himself - There is a man across the road here who is always doing something to his neat front yard but I think he hasn't got used to retirement yet - he is okay and the old bloke next door but the wives are very frosty to me as if I would want their old men with all their problems
