Took the kids to school then went to Woolies for groceries, we always need groceries. Came home and did some stuff then decided to try my luck in getting a refund on the concert tickets we bought. We got them before Phill knew he had to go to Victoria, and I wasn't going to go on my own or pay another ticket price for one of the kids when I didn't even know if they'd enjoy it. So I went down and did that and as I often do, drove up by the park to check things out. There he was. Again. With his hand in his lap. I drove around a few times not knowing what to do, should I go and confront him? And what would I say/do? I ended up just ringing the cops from the car then drove home and texted Em that I thought he was there again. It came around to recess time when she would normally go to the park. She said she'd walk down and see if he was still there. I got in the car to go and meet her and on the way she rang to say the cops were there. Two paddy wagons, one driven right into the park onto the grass, the other one on the street. I got out and walked over. Two of them were known to us from the old days of Emily's stuff. They had spoken to him and asked him why he was there. He told them a few silly reasons, one of which was that he was "walking his dog". I quipped that he may think that's a euphemism for what he is really doing, but I wasn't sure, I'm not a doctor. He has never been seen with a real dog. They laughed but I got serious saying that while Emily could handle herself, there are lots of other people who use that park including mums with young kids, not to mention the schoolgirls who have to walk past the park, it's just a short block from the high school, and who often meet and congregate there. Then I raised the suggestion that he must be a registered sex offender and the cop shrugged and implied that he couldn't tell me that. What? Em and I both came away with the feeling that they knew more than they were telling us. Meanwhile, park wanker made his way down the road and up towards the football oval. I wish I'd jumped in the car right then and followed him, knowledge is power and the cops don't seem to have any. But we stood there and waited while Const. Plod took a call on his mobile about something else. I told them if my husband were home he would have handled things a lot differently to me!
Em has a photo of this bloke and she made an amusing meme to put on FB. I thought someone local may recognise him but so far nothing.
I think now, that he is targetting schoolgirls, which is why he sits in that particular park, and who knows what he may do next?
I had photos to share today but blogger isn't playing.

Scary man - we had similar when the girls were at school - wierd men who hang about and followed by car - I did what you did - rang police - its an instinct thing really - you do know when things are not right
Sex Offenders are handled alot different in my State. If you are late registering, your ass will be hauled to jail and then you have to appear before a judge who decides your fate.
Even if a man pulls his car over and gets out to urinate, he better not be seen as he will be arrested and be labeled a Sex Offender.
Are these cops thinking that Em is crying wolf because of the past? If so, shame on them!
Hope one of your readers come up with a clever idea that would be legally good that would scare the crap out of this idiot and put an end to his exploits.
(((hugs)))
