After so long being stuck at home for various reasons, we drove up to Wagga today to get my Christmas present, an iPad. It was very hot, Emily got sick and vomited and Josh got a bad stomach ache on the way home. But it was good to get out. Just wish we'd left those whingers at home.
I am LOVING my iPad, I can use it to read all my ibooks and everything on my Kindle which I no longer need, the iPad is so much more comfortable to use. I will be able to use it in the kitchen for recipes, my main reason to have it, even my own cooking blog looks good on it and YouTube is great.
Josh got the stomach ache that he has had several times, and we couldn't get anything helpful into him, he won't swallow pills, even the Buscopan that are the size of a contraceptive pill. We tried crushing them and putting them into ice cream and crushing them into milk, but they were so bitter. Eventually, Em took charge, as she does so well and got him to take them and now he is much better. He will do things for her that he would never do for me.
Therese if you are reading this YES we did that with our beach towels as well, how lovely that the Aussie Summer translated so well to every town and region it seems. My brothers used to tuck their towels into the back of the neck of their t shirts and pretend to be Superman! I just told Phill about that and he said he never did it but he might now that I've told him about it. Okay. Watch out for the video of that one.
We bought our THIRD umbrella, not counting the pergola, all of which got blown away and broken by the strong winds lately. We can't sit down by the pool without any shade in this crazy heat, but this one has a wind down thingie so it will be easier to put down so it doesn't catch the gale and blow away.
Phill is going away next week for eight days so I will need to cook some meals for him this weekend to take with him. Much cheaper and healthier than buying take away all the time.
Kittens are getting so big, it's time to try to find a new home for Violet. None of us, even Phill, don't want her to go but we just can't have three cats in a rental house. Two is one too many.
She has turned into the most gorgeous girl, is eating and using the litter tray and is so cute and cuddly. Anyone want a kitten?
We called into Junee to get supplies, and right away saw three people that we knew from when we lived there. I gave Pete a big hug and kiss, he is not well. I haven't seen him for a few years and who knows if we'll ever see him again? I also saw the girl I worked with in the canteen when we lived in Junee. I loved that town but I don't think I could live there again. So many memories though, mostly good in the old days. The "Railway Family" as we called ourselves. I miss that, and the interaction and the parties.

"HAPPY" looks good on you! :0)
(((hugs)))Pat
Sometimes...it would be So Good to be able to go back in time. Those were THE DAYS my friend, we thought they'd never end. Actually we never thought beyond That Day. It's called, living in the moment. When it's Good,it's Very GOOD! :0)
Hope Violet finds her "forever home" soon. It's been eons since I held a kitten and I can still remember the memory of it. Memories , mine and yours...especially the good ones, are KEEPERS! (((hugs)))Pat
