Things have been so tough financially and while it hasn't worried me overly, it was good to be able to relax a bit and get a few odds and ends for Christmas. I went down to Woolies to get some groceries but coudn't find a park, even driving around and around, nothing in the street either. So I put some petrol in the car and hightailed it up to Young on my own. It wasn't nearly as crowded or frantic up there. I'm glad I went because I was able to get the kids' treasure hunt present, also the pork chipolatas that are now a "deleted item" at our supermarket. I got the nail polish I have been trying to get for months as well. Got Josh some new boardies and a hat and scored some cheap meat as well.
Raced back for my hair appointment, got stuck behind a slow moving truck and couldn't overtake on the way home and just made it back in time. I gave Emily some money to go down and do her Christmas shopping, then went to get some salmon tails (they finally had some yay!!) for dinner.
Almost all the blonde is gone out of my hair now. I can't decide whether to colour it myself or wait for Moira to come back from her Christmas holiday. I think the pool chemicals are messing with my hair, it's so hard to manage lately even as short as it is and Moira even noticed the difference in it when she was cutting it.
I talked to Mum last night and my sister is going to go down and take her up to her place for Christmas. I'm so jealous that she will get to see the two new babies, both my nephews had one this year. I'm hoping I can Skype with them on Christmas Day if I can download it and get it to work properly.
I'm off to marinate my salmon.
