Christmas Cleaning

That's what I'll be doing this week, you should see the kitchen after last night's pizza making operations.  I do love a challenge!  I'm going to go right through the house like I used to when the kids were little and clean it top to toe ready for our little party on Saturday when we will put up the tree and the decorations.
Josh has caught Phill's lurgy and has been really crook, he didn't sleep at all on Friday night and wasn't too good yesterday, thankfully he can eat, usually when he gets sick it's like his body just shuts down and he can't eat at all.  I'm keeping him home today, I'm hoping he's still asleep in there he needs it.  Yep just checked on him and he's sound asleep.
It's so hot here, got up to 35C yesterday and we have discovered the a/c doesn't work at all now, I told the real estate last week but have heard nothing so will be on the phone again as soon as they open this morning.  We are paying so much rent for this hovel and we're not going to swelter as well.
We kept cool in the pool, Em and I did, Josh came and sat with us for a while but didn't go in.  We got Max in too, on the air bed.  He didn't freak out like I thought he might, he trusts us so much, and he seemed to enjoy being floated around, but then he had to have a scratch and nearly tumbled off into the water so we put him out.  He didn't hang around for another go though.
Gosh it's over 25C here already and it's not even 9am yet.  I have a feeling our landlord is going to drag the chain getting the a/c fixed.  Perhaps if some prospective buyers walk in to a hothouse and realise they'll have to fork for some expensive repairs they'll think twice.
Still haven't done the Christmas card photos, Em had her friend Sindy to sleep over on Friday night then Josh was sick.  I might just end up sending shop bought cards this year.
I have got the kids a few presents so am not feeling so panicked about that side of things.  I will be glad when it's over although I know there are only a few more years that we'll even have the kids at home so we'll do the best we can to make good memories for them.
