Holiday Monday

We went out for lunch yesterday, I wasn't keen as I'm not feeling too good but I'm glad we went.  We all had seafood, they had some Easter specials on, I had lobster mornay (had the same thing last year too) Em had her usual garlic prawns and oysters kilpatrick (which we helped her eat as Phill ordered a dozen instead of six), and the boys had a lovely looking dish of chilli crab with mussels and prawns.

They had to wait and wait for their meals, Em and I had long finished by the time the kitchen realised they had stuffed up our order.  I love the look on Josh's face in this shot.  You can tell Daddy ordered as there were no vegies or salad!

Phill took the kids home and we stayed a bit longer and played the pokies for a while and won again, well came out in front anyway.  He has been so attentive and caring since I've been under the weather. 

When we got home we had our usual Easter egg hunt (I go through the motion each year because when I was a child we never got Easter eggs and I always felt left out).  This year there was a twist though, the kids had hidden them and we had to find them.  They hid them all in the house and had some interesting places inlcuding the one below.

 

Yes it was hanging around Harley's neck with a green satin ribbon.  I can't believe she just sat there with it on, she probably thought it looked pretty.

We had intended driving out to the mineral pools after lunch but I just wasn't up to it.  And I had to get up at 6ish to take Phill to Junee as he's gone away to Victoria for a week. 

We may or may not go down and join him for a few days, depends on how I'm travelling.

Found out some happy news yesterday that my oldest nephew and his wife are having a little boy, they already have the impossibly cute Sophie.  So we're getting a girl, a boy and a mystery baby all within the next few months.  I spoke to Ali yesterday, she is only weeks away from her due date as is my niece in law Michelle, but she and my other nephew don't want to know the sex till the baby is born, they already have a little boy.

The privacy issues I am having re my blog are not coming from within the house, I rarely have my pc out of my possession (which is why I closed down the blog from my phone when I was away) and my history deletes automatically when I shut the machine down.  I have created a new blog on a different identity but not sure if I'll use it. 

It was really cold this morning when we set out for Junee,  poor Phill volunteered to sleep on the lounge as I was desperate for a decent night's sleep, but I got him to come in with me for a little while before we had to get up.  Believe it or not I'm going to miss him, he's like the little girl with the curl (when he's good he's very very good, but when he's bad, he's horrid).  I am thinking that we will put the sofa that is in the tv room here, in our room in the new house, as our room there is huge, and we might buy a sofa bed for the tv room there.  He is at least now willing to try some other snoring remedies and I know he is trying to lose some weight but he really needs to see a doctor.  He will have no choice soon as his work medical is coming up.  With my menopause symptoms having returned with a vengeance, my sleep is bad enough.

Well it's only 11.32am but I'm off for a hot lavender bath and a clean pair of pjs.  I think I'll do crumbed chicken tonight, the last thing I feel like doing is cooking but teenagers rudely expect to be fed!
