I DO NOT want to go home

I had forgotten how much I missed living by the sea.  When I was 13, my parents moved us (just them and me by this time, I'm the youngest of five) to a small seaside town about 350kms north of  Sydney.  We had always holidayed on the coast but living there was a whole new heaven for me and I spent all my time on the beach, Summer and Winter and have always longed for it even after all these years.  We lived for a time in Kiama, which is a smallish town south of Sydney, but after that always lived inland as that is where the work is.
It was lovely seeing my sisters, my brother in law, my nephew and his wife and their impossibly beautiful 2 year old daughter Sophie, and found out that my nephew's wife is also expecting her second  baby this year (we will have three newborns before September now!).  And my mum.  I drove down and picked her up on Friday after we got here.
From left, my oldest nephew, Shane his wife Kate and little Sophie. Then my sister Julie and Mum and my brother in law (really my brother) I think my sister Jan is behind him.
The view from our lounge room.
Our balcony (and Phill)
We got Harvey a special life jacket for the boat.
The hat and the sunglasses are down to his Mum and Dad.
Harvey enjoyed his ride on the boat. For about fifteen minutes anyway.
Emmy caught a bream and a flathead.  They tasted wonderful, I love salt water fish.
I got the little ones some bubble wands and they had fun with them last night.
Harvey was like Darth Vader or something.

That's our cabin at the far right.  We tied the boat up right outside.

Yesterday after the family all went home, we went down to the town and had a drink at the Husky Pub and the kids got some ice cream.
The time went way too quickly and tomorrow we head for home.

LOVE the pics! I know how you feel about the sea. I grew up near the ocean and have lived inland for many years now. I miss it.

Those ice cream cones look AWESOME! Now I want ice cream...
