And We're Off

We've been looking forward to this trip for weeks, and thank goodness I got the accommodation paid off ahead of time because Phill got word that he wouldn't be getting paid on time this week.  The company is waiting for a client to pay THEM so they can pay their workers.  How dodgy is that?  This is a big rail company we're talking about.  This is the second time it's happened in the last couple of months and now the guys have the union involved and I daresay many of them are looking for new jobs.   Thankfully Phill got paid from the training company he works for and while we won't be as flush as we would have been we'll have enough to have a nice weekend.  I had to ring and cancel the hair appointments I had scheduled for Em and me for this afternoon but that's okay.  We are looking through the house with the pool this afternoon (I won't mention to the real estate that the rent will be late heh heh).
The weather is promising to be nice down there and I am so happy to be able to spend some time with the extended family, I'm going to relax and not worry about a thing.  Emily has made a start on her school work, and will hopefully get her first lot finished and sent off today and I want her to take some with her down the coast.  So far it seems quite easy and she will do it on her ear I reckon.  She's a smart girl (takes after her mother).
I got my iPhone yesterday and I love it.  Had fun with some free apps last night and fell asleep listening to the police scanner! 
I am not going to go back to Weight Watchers, I am glad I did it for those five weeks, and I have reached my 5kg off goal (6kg actually as of today on my own scales).  Counting points was really messing with my head and since I stopped doing that I have been still eating low fat and healthy but not obsessing over it all.  I don't think the new system is as user friendly as the old 123 one that saw me lose over 33kg.  But the experience has been good for all of us and we all lost weight and will continue to do so (no more Danish butter!). 
Well I've taken an hour to write this and I need to get packing.  Watch this space for photos and videos from my new iPhone!
