I have often thought I should post recipes more often on here, but I feel that not everyone who reads my blog would be that interested. Yesterday when I was cooking I got the idea to start a food blog. A lot of recipes I try actually come from other food blogs that come up when I do an internet search. I rarely use recipes I've invented myself but that doesn't matter. I'm just going to post recipes as I make/try them, it will be a good record for me as well to have all the recipes I use and try in one place and easy to find. Emily came up with the idea of filming me cooking some recipes with her I phone, so you might get to see me up there in living colour!
So last night we had our Indian feast which is detailed here.
Nothing I haven't made before, although I did use fresh garlic, chilli and ginger and we all agreed the taste was better than when I use the bottled variety.
Easy dinner tonight, probably just bacon and eggs but I'm trying the new slow cooker recipe tomorrow in time for Phill to get home from being away. I'm just having a relaxing Sunday and enjoying not doing much of anything.
The kids have been in Emily's room all day making movies. I love that they're creative. Artistic talent runs all through our families. I have always enjoyed writing, and two of my daughters, Alison and Katherine are also talented writers. Phill's mother was a very good artist and could turn her hand to most things artistic. She taught both art and cake decorating when she was younger. My older son is a talented musician, and would love to make a career out of it if he could.
Talked to my Ali just now, she says Harvey is still talking about me, and even mentions "Poppy Phill" and is very excited about going on our boat when we go to Husky next month. She says he loves the little Spiderman car we got him and won't let it go. These are the things that does a granny's heart good. I am so glad, and so grateful that she wants us to be in Harvey's, and the new baby's, when she comes, lives.
She loves the slow cooker we got her and I'm so glad. I'd cook in mine every day if I could and probably will almost do that when the weather is cooler!
I'm happy with how the food blog is looking, I think it's going to be fun doing it.

Hey...invite me in.
Maybe I'll even start to cook again.;0)
I like it when you feel all warm and fuzzy inside about your family Trish. More fuzzies to you m/f.
(((hugs)))Pat
I love that you are doing a food blog, great idea, but I cant see it, saying something about being invited to view this blog. Might have to change the preferences to be public or open or something. Blogging driving me a bit crazy too, my blog's bamboo background image has completely disappeared!
I am so glad your making a food blog! Gee didn't I tell you to do this like a month ago! LOL
Wish i was a granny - feel like one after the past few weeks.
