And the Shit Goes On

Stealing a theme from my (m/f) friend Pat here.
We drove into Wagga yesterday to see a tax agent.  They have audited us again.  The agent said she's never seen anyone that this has happened to.  Seems we owe them another five grand or so.  She is going to lodge an objection or something.  I could care less it's only money.
When I went to get Josh from school he told me about his miserable day there.  It seems that now Emily is no longer going that the bullies have turned their attention to him (more so than before).  He was shoulder charged in the corridor, in full view of a teacher, who believed the thugs when they said that they "fell" into him.  He came to me last night and told me he doesn't even know the kids who are bullying him and looked me in the eye and said "What have I done to deserve this?"  This is bullshit.  I blamed Emily for so long for the crap she put up with at school and I'm not going down that road with Joshua.
I just cannot, in all good conscience, send him back into that place knowing that he is going to have to go through that every single day.  I don't know what I am going to do, homeschooling makes me feel sick to think of it.  I looked into distance education for Emily and I'm pretty sure we can meet the criteria for that due to her suicide attempts and her ongoing school refusal, and it will be a good solution for her.  I will not be responsible for the work but for supervising her doing it and I can handle that, and I really believe she will rise to the challenge.
All of my instincts are screaming at me to just keep them home with me, to keep them safe.  For now.  I feel so alone there is nobody I can really talk to about this who doesn't have their own agenda.
I am so angry right now.  We pay these teachers to educate our kids, of course.  But when we take our children to school, we expect them to be kept safe, in the basic physical sense at the very least.
I wrote a letter saying that we were withdrawing Emily from school and why and drove up yesterday afternoon and put it in the school letterbox.  It will be interesting to see the result.  As of yesterday nobody had contacted us regarding the promised revision work for Emily and the offer of an alternate venue for her exams which start next Monday.
FUCK THEM ALL.  Teachers have a responsibility, our tax dollars (see paragraph one) are paying them and they are not doing their job properly.  And guess what?  Tomorrow there is a teachers' strike.

Crap!
I am not sure what you have done in the past to try to resolve this, I think I remember you mentioning that this has happened at a previous school. So I imagine you are feeling fairly powerless right now.

I would totally want to keep my kids at home with me too.

And I would also want to get that teacher who witnessed the incident to face some consequences.

If the school is not hearing and dealing with you then I would also want to get the school to face some consequences.

Your children have a right to education and a right to go to school is a safe environment.
