Okay so it's early, but it's Spring nevertheless.
Yesterday I did go shopping. Phill's job was delayed so I knew I wasn't going to get much done at home. We really wanted to go and get our outdoor table and chairs paid for as the price was too good to miss. So I drove into Wagga and did that, we will pick it up sometime over the weekend. I bought an aloe vera plant for the garden. I would have bought some herbs but they didn't have a very good selection, perhaps it's a bit early in the season. They seemed to have every variety of mint known to man but who needs all that? We bought a chocolate mint plant on our honeymoon and carted it around for years and I never did figure out what to use it for.
So then I went and put a bit of a dent in Phill's winnings and enjoyed it. Got some shoes (on sale).
A bit of this (buy two get one free).
Some of this (recently discovered we have a DUSK store in Wagga).
One of these, it's an oil diffuser. Not sure about it yet.
This little t light lamp, should have got two, it looks nice on the tv unit.
And I got my birthday bracelet. We saw it the other day and I decided I'd get it and wear it now, it's really pretty and replaces my charm bracelet that mysteriously got lost just before we moved. Not going the charm route again, it is so expensive and I lost a lot of charms along the way with them falling off.
I also got some more cushions and a couple of lamps, as well as some good cologne for Phill for Fathers Day.
I was aiming to get back in time to pick the kids up at lunchtime but the time got away and I rang the school to tell them they'd have to walk home and found out Emily had again forged a note to get her out at recess instead of using the note I had given her. I talked to the acting DP to let him know and then told Emily she was busted and that I wouldn't be giving her notes to get out of sport anymore and the school was once again on alert for forgeries. I know she hates school, much of it is her own fault, but she only has one term left. ONE TERM. All she has to do is put her head down and get through the rest of this year and get her School Certificate and then we can go from there. We really want her to go on to years 11 and 12 and she is more than capable of doing that, and I truly believe things will get better as all the kids get older and mature a bit.
I didn't overreact as I would have once done, just gave her a pep talk when I got home and told her she doesn't have long and we'll get through it together etc etc.
Today is her therapy and then the course, here in Coota this week, they sensibly decided to have it here every second week so we don't have to make that drive up to Young all the time (which means she misses more school).
More to say but it's time to get the kids up.

Great shopping! I love the lamp and you will have to let us know how the oil thingy goes. Does it use a candle? I have not seen one like it before. Looks nice though.
What are Em's plans for next year? Tafe? They have to stay in school till they are 17 now, new laws. Stupid if you ask me. We are still on the fence with what to do with Adem. I had thought Tafe before for year 10 or OTEN but now there are four years left we are still wondering if school might work better for him. He of course does not want to go. His lack of enthusiasm lately is wearing me down a bit. I guess it must be the age hey? Nearly 14 now. OMG. Having said that, he has almost completed a course in HTML5 programming which is adult level so at least he is learning something.
Have a lovely first day of Spring. The sun is finally shining up here so I am off to the beach for some fresh air. (grumpy teenager and all). Hope the sun is shining for you too. Hugs xoxo
