I woke with the same trepidation as I have known many mornings in the past couple of years. Phill called for Emily to get up and of course she refused. We wanted to just take her down to the school so they can de-enroll her and make arrangements for her to attend TAFE. I found out last night that in special cases this can be done and it seems the best arrangement for Emily. She just refused to get out of bed and he got more and more frustrated and then angry with me! ???? Then he threatened to take her back down to Albury and she agreed but then said she had no clothes. They were all in her room of course. She just sat and sat and came out and hurled a bit of her vitriol at me for good measure. Phill rang the counsellor she was seeing in Albury in spite of me telling him they had closed her case down there and referred her here. Then he inexplicably rang DOCS, not sure what he wanted them to do. I have to admit that I got more than a little satisfaction of him living this type of thing first hand as I have had to do, mostly on my own, for months now and to a lesser degree, for a couple of years or more. At least I didn't tell him to "grow up" like he told me one time when I was at my wits end. There was just nothing we could do, he sees it now and it's infuriating and so, so frustrating. He turned the internet off and I wanted to take her stupid computer off her, which I still think is the right thing to do, why should I not be able to get online when I want to just because she won't behave. For some reason he won't do that, I think it is a perfectly reasonable consequence for children when they do the wrong thing. Finally he tried to ring the high school principal but of course got fobbed off, so he's taken her down there, I told him to just lob until someone sees them. I didn't go as they've all written me off as crazy or something, nobody would talk to me through this whole thing. Emily said her counsellor and others told her I was an "abusive parent". Good grief, talk about putting up a wall to avoid getting her the help she needs. Funny that Josh and I rarely have a cross word between us and I always got on pretty well with Kate when she was living at home.
Anyway, I feel like I've done my bit and it's up to Phill, since he thinks he knows everything, to take over now.
At least I have the house to myself for a little while. Josh went off to school nervous after the Facebook drama that Emily caused but I assured him we'd explained it all to them, and most of them don't like Emily either and realised she had done it and not Josh. I told him if he has any problems to go to the deputy or someone else, NOT the sick bay. It's hard I know but he has to face up to these things. He's a little trooper and I'm sure he'll be fine.
And I suspect that even with Emily enrolled in TAFE she will piss people off down there as well, and still refuse to get out of bed and actually go. I also suspect that part of her bail conditions is that she attends school or the equivalent but we don't know for sure because nobody ever saw a copy of the bail conditions. Court day should be interesting.
I still have boxes to unpack and I think I'll do that today.

Ah ha! The old Get You On The Defensive trick. :0(
Ur Fault, not mine.
Glad to hear it didn't work on you. :0)
I agree with you that the computer should be off limits during these times.
Hit em where it hurts.
You and I both know what not having our computer feels like and IT DOES NOT FEEL GOOD.
I shit you not!
Wish someone would just send me to my room and I had the use of a computer. You wouldn't see me except to use the bathroom and grab something out of the fridge.
Teenagers. Bah!Humbug!
