You Couldn't Make this Stuff Up

We got the whole inside of the house done today, it looks great, spotless inside and out now, she can't get us on clean, only the laminex bench in the kitchen which Emily took a chunk out of and the burn marks in the carpet which we will pay compensation for if need be.  I feel so much better now that it's all done.  In the middle of all this though I got a phone call from the school that Josh is sick and can we come and get him.  I asked Phill to go as I was dressed in yard clothes.  He went and took him home and came back and told me that "someone" had hacked into Josh's Facebook page and his email account, changed the passwords and sent abusive messages to kids at school.  I immediately downed tools and jumped in the car and came home to him.  When Josh got to school this morning people were either laughing at him or threatening him.  He couldn't figure out why (thought it was his new haircut!)  Most of Emily's enemies are year 7 girls and they tend to have year 10 boys as boyfriends and some of the messages Emily sent were pretending to be Josh asking these girls out, so the boyfriends were pissed off.  Obviously stupid as well, as anyone would know Josh would NEVER do something like that, he doesn't even really use Facebook, just talks to me and Kate on there occasionally.  It was me who made his page and I wish I had never done it now.  He was inconsolable and I was so angry at Emily I could have throttled her if she'd been in throttling distance.  I rang the school and told the principal and told him to make sure the kids knew it wasn't him.  Also told him about the Facebook page I mentioned yesterday.  I can understand Emily targetting me, Phill and even Kate but Josh has done  nothing but be a loyal brother up till now.  How could she hurt him this way when she knows he is doing it tough at school.  He sobbed and told me he was just starting to be accepted and not bullied so much and now this.  After much running around I finally managed to put a complaint into Facebook and Phill had several conversations with his sister, who Emily is now staying with, about what had happened.  How hard is it to keep her off the internet?  They don't even have wireless there like we do.  They were even querying if it was really her that did it, Josh's password was changed at the very time Emily was using the internet and it was only people she knew that got the messages.  Duh.  Why can't they see what is going on here?  I now believe she is truly mentally ill and she won't be coming back here any time soon.  Both Kate and I agree that her behaviour is escalating, even from down there, and she will end up doing something really serious to someone.  There are no plans to have any medical tests done ie blood work, just seeing these counsellors who will hear exactly what Emily wants them to hear, not the truth.  I now don't have any say, or any control over what happens to her, nobody even wants to talk to me about it, but that's okay, I have struggled with her on my own for years, let the "experts" have a crack at it and see what they come up with.
If the police found out about the gossip page (Josh claims Emily actually created the latest one), the abusive emails to me and the hacking of Josh's FB it would look very bad for her in court.
It's so hard to admit that your child is just evil, but that's how I'm feeling right now.  Phill talked to her on the phone last night and she of course denied everything but that is her usual MO.  I got on the phone at the end and calmly told her that if I have any evidence at all that she is using the internet for anything, that I will inform the police of what she has been doing and it will go very badly at her court hearing in August.  And I will.  I mean I'm not asking them to deprive her of food, water or oxygen, she can live without internet access.
I told Josh he doesn't have to go back to school until after the holidays.  The kids will have forgotten about it by then and hopefully the school will have made sure they all know it wasn't Josh.  I got one of Em's friends onside last night on FB (it is useful for SOME things) and explained to her what happened.  Rumour at school is that she is in juvenile detention for stabbing her sister, no idea how that got about, but I told her it wasn't true, that Em is staying with her grandparents but is in big trouble and I left it at that.  I will ring the principal again today to find out what he has done about it all. Wish me luck with that one.
My main aim right now is to make sure Josh is okay and that he can go back to school and be safe.
After coping with everything on my own for so long I've decided Phill can worry about the old house now and I will concentrate on getting this place set up.  We really need to feel comfortable and secure now, just the three of us.

Mell of Hess indeed! At least we have each other.
I have a feeling that we're going to need that in the coming days.

I wish I had her password!!! I'd give anything to get her off FB and the internet permanently. Not going to happen while the crazies have her in custody down there though.

was reading something from today and thought "WHAT?!?!"
Oh poor Josh and what a mess for you!
But your recent post said that you were able to send messages to some of the kids and explain and apologize - so hopefully Josh is out of the hot seat for now. yeesh
