Friday

Minus 3 here overnight again.  I was up early, went out and brought in some wood and stoked the fire which I managed to keep going overnight.  Had some tea, read some blogs, got the kids up and dressed and miraculously off to school.  Josh went back today looking spiffy in his new clothes and his soft shiny hair that Katy washed and blow dried for him last night.  He's a trooper that boy, still not 100% but happy enough to go off to school.  We have a long weekend for the Queens Birthday.  Phill is on his way home for a few days.
I have much to keep me busy.  Normal house stuff plus packing and cleaning.  I need to ring the real estate and make arrangements to have another look at the house today, and pay the bond etc.  We drove up the back lane yesterday and we have a beautiful new looking double garage and a big water tank which was a bonus.  Also an orange tree in the backyard.  I put our three week's notice into the current real estate but I'm hoping we can move in a week or so, and take the other two weeks to clean this place while it's empty which is much easier than doing it with furniture and boxes etc in it.
We drove up to Young after school which was a mistake as it turned out.  Got Em some shoes and a hoodie and some other bits and pieces and got Maccas to go.  I was estimating that it would get dark at around 6pm but as we drove out of town just after five to go home the sky got darker and darker and by the time we were out in the countryside it was very dark.  I can't see very well to drive at night and rarely if ever do so.  It was quite a hairy trip, every time a car passed us going the other way the glare would almost blind me.  We were all very happy to reach Cootamundra.
Well my coffee has gone cold and the sun is out so I'm off to hang some washing and hope that what I hung yesterday will dry as well.
Need to make an appointment with the doctor for Emily's foot which she injured a while back but it's really giving her trouble now.  I'm guessing she will need an x ray to see if she's broken a little bone in it.

I love Yellowdog Granny's comment. :0)
Ahha! That's exactly why I gave up driving after dark. Sucks being us, huh! ;0) Smart decision though.
Love what I've seen of the new house, but keep forgetting to comment on it.
Heck, no Hell... it's better than what I have hands down. Happy for you Trish.
At 74 I need less square feet to clean, but soooo need more storage space. That double car garage sounds like a place I could park and put shelving units to store the crap i don't use most of the time.
I can dream.:0)
(((hugs)))
