Brrrrr...woke up to this and our first really cold morning. Only two weeks till Winter starts, might have to light the fire tonight.
We had a lovely day yesterday for Mothers' Day. I got totally spoiled with red roses and a cup of tea in my "Mum" mug that Kate gave me when we lived in Western Australia. I only drink out of it one day a year. And some scratchies which won me $108!! Never won that much on a scratchie in my life.
The kids outdid themselves and gave me some really thoughtful gifts. This photo frame, which was my favourite.
This little ornament and a really lovely card. Also some dark chocolate, and a little "thank you" plaque.
We went and had lunch at the Thai restaurant here in town. We should have booked but they found us a table anyway and the food and service was excellent.
I ordered Crying Tiger which was a Thai beef salad and it was very good. Phill chose duck with a garlic and pepper sauce, Em had Lemon Chicken and Josh just had some fish pieces as he wasn't feeling too good. We got some Thai fried rice and we all shared the dishes.
We called into the club on the way home for dessert for Em and the kids played the chocolate machine. It was a lovely day and I spoke to my eldest, Ali and heard Harvey in the background.
Faxed through a tenancy application this morning for the house we like in Quirindi. Now it's just a waiting game. If we can't get that house there really isn't anything else suitable so Phill might go up on his own for a while until something comes up and we'll just stay here, which suits me, I don't want to move anyway.

Happy Mother's Day! Love all your goodies - how sweet! Your dinner looks yummy! What's this about moving? I know I've been out of blog world the last 3 or 4 weeks but what did I miss?!
I love reading your Aussie posts because your Seasons are opposite. I'm praying to Gaia for no late Spring frosts so my tomatoes are o.k. : )
Having Seasons is nice, but I could do without Winter.
Not..not..not fond of December, January and February, also March. The cold weather is around wayyyyyyy too long!
Glad you had a nice Mothers Day.:0)
Family is what is important.
Sounds like a lovely day for a lovely lady.
sounds like a perfect day..lucky you
You look so wise and contented in that photo with Em, not to mention stunning.
So pleased you had a lovely day on Mother's day - I was feeling a little sorry for myself (and kept away from places where families gathered) - until I got an email from my nephew's ex wife who I like a lot - she delivered a full term baby knowing it was dead before it was born - and suffered a lot (as you would understand) she has no others yet - she called it "Mothers of Angels day - then i pulled my socks up and just got on with it - the girls remembered and sent cards and pressies - it was just the being aware of being on my own - today I am on my own but its okay...I love seeing your photos of family gatherings etc
