More of the Same

Well I knew it would happen, Emily refused again to go to school this morning.  Something has happened with some girls, one of whom is Kim but she won't tell me what, which leads me to believe she was shooting her mouth off yet again and they took exception.
And there is no help, Phill rang the school and they seem to have washed their hands of her, I don't blame them, this crap just goes on and on.  I rang the education department only to once again get the run around.  I am at a loss to understand why the government can pass legislation, as they did last year, that says it's the law that a child must stay at school until they're seventeen  when there is no way to enforce said law.  It's crazy.  I ended up hanging up on "Jim" who was the poor guy I got at the Wagga DE office.  It's all just pointless.  I tried to get through to the head office in Sydney but was redirected to the Wagga office.  GEEZ.  Jim later rang back and was actually really great, he talked to me for a long time and then talked to Emily.  Nothing will really help, she just needs to go to bloody school.  I've been everywhere for help and nothing has worked.
I have had enough.  If she doesn't want to go to school so be it.  She can rot in her room every day for all I care, this is seriously affecting my mental and physical health and I just can't do it alone anymore.  Phill was meant to be coming home tomorrow but now it won't be till Thursday.  He can deal with it because I'm done.  Am I giving up on my child?  Yep, damn straight.  I don't where else to turn and what else to do.  Some kids are just lost causes and I guess she is one of them.  They can blame me, well they are anyway, I just don't care anymore.

All sorts of thoughts are running through my head.
You need "the calvary" and the calvary is off.

If Emily won't do what's expected of her as a family member, what's to say you should.
Out the door on school days no matter if she goes to school or not.
No lazing around the house.
No sharing in family meals ...make yourself a sandwich or whatever.
No cleaning what you dirty while you do it...that ends too.
Her laundry..........
and so on and so on and so on

Those damned teenager hormones!!!
(((hugs)))

Gee you have got problems with her - I had some trouble with the girls but they loved school because of their friends - and to see their friends they had to be at school - sadly as you know she will regret this later on and possibly seek to blame someone - usually mum - if only she understood that her mum and dad love her beyond words and would always be her first line of defence - if only she worked in with you to make it easier - don't ever feel guilty or anything - we in here have read for some time now the efforts you have gone to just to get her to do this simple thing - go to school - you's think home all day would be too boring

At the end of the day Emily is making the decision not to go to school. She is choosing her own path.

You must feel so frustrated as you have tired so hard. (moving home, home schooling and your perseverance) She will regret it I am sure as doors just dont open for kids without education, but you cannot physically put her in there. Can you?
