Home Again

At Darling Harbour.
At Wildlife World they had these amazing huge figures all made of Lego blocks.  This one is the boxing kangaroo.
Rex, one of the biggest crocs in captivity.  He didn't look all that big to me.
But this one did.
Isn't this a lovely shot of Em?
The Lego sculptures were incredible.  And a bit freaky.
The roos and koalas were a bit "ho hum" for us because living in the country we see them in the wild but I'm sure they were exciting for the many overseas tourists who were there.  It was the closest I've ever been to a koala though, they are so cute and funny to watch.
We left the motel and drove up to the cemetery.  Such a familiar place to us.  We took Sarah some yellow carnations.  I know the kids have some confusing feelings there for the sister they never knew, but miss now they are older.  Em in particular gets very quiet and teary but I think it's good for them to think of her and visit her grave sometimes.
We had a good run and got home about 2pm.  I am so glad we went and that I am once again on good terms with all my children.
I'm so tired though, and it's cold here.  I am in bed at 3.30pm with the electric blanket and Josh is here with me watching YouTube on his new phone which he loves.  Homemade burgers and steak sandwiches tonight and early to bed, for me anyway.  It was lovely to get away but so good to be home.
Oh and Katy is the regional Western Australian finalist in the Young Retailer of the year awards.

Looks like you all had a lovely trip. This old American lady just loves seeing koalas and roos. They only exist in zoos here. I think Legos are amazing.
Taking your kids to the cemetery and telling stories about the sister they never knew helps them to know who they are. You sound like a good mom.

Looks like a fun time was had by all. So glad you got to have some time with your older kids. Yes that is a beautiful picture of Em, love it when she smiles. She is a truly gorgeous girl. I am also SO LOVING her boots! Very chic!

You have reminded me that I was supposed to organise an excursion to the aquarium and wildlife world. The whole thought of yet another trip is doing my head in. LOL I think I am getting old...too many outings wear me out.

Em is becoming so beautiful - its amazing. So pleased they went to see their big sister's grave - its good for kids to reflect and think - too often we go through life not appreciating what we have - when your little Sarah didn't get any of that life at all - the lives of her siblings will honour her memory
