My darling big sister is 61 today. Makes me feel old because, of course, it's all about me. She has been the best sister anyone could ask for, all my life, rescued me from many dire things and has always been there for me even when she didn't want to be.
I'm writing this at half past midnight, my stress levels have been through the roof and my intellectual side has wondered how long a body can sustain such levels before something gives. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
But we went out for lunch today, to the club and it was really nice and fun and the four of us talked and were just us again. I think we have a plan for Em and the moving north is still a possibility.
Heading up to Sydney early on Monday to see Ali and Harvey and Julie. Emily feels a need to go to Sarah's grave and that's fine with me, I like to go and tend it and take her flowers, and remember. She will be 17 next month and I know Em thinks of her and misses her even though she never physically knew her.
If you're reading this Sarah please talk some sense into your little sister okay? Katy tries but can't help her big mouth. No idea where she gets it from.
Still, have a happy birthday Jules.

a very very happy birthday to your sis.
I am so glad you have a sister. I have one too, sometimes I am so close to her and other times we couldn't be more different. But at the end of the day I love her no matter what. Hope its the same for you.
Sarah will be the angel for you and your family - and hopefully can help Em - Have you thought to mention this to Em - sort of in the vein, that her (Em's)life is such a treasure because her big sister is watching over her and would want Em to have the best life she can have - and look after herself so she can have that good life...not in an emotional blackmail way - but because it is truth
