It's been a nice school holidays, and a break from the ongoing stress that is Emily and her school attendance. She is so far saying she will go back tomorrow but I'll believe it when I see it. I haven't said this to her, but if she keeps baulking I'm not going to let it get to me and at the very worst she will repeat year ten next year either at TAFE or if we end up moving up north, at school there.
I have had it with this tiny house and the tiny little greasy people next door and their incessant smoking. I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell, bloody curse that it is, and they smoke on their front porch which is just metres from our house. We have never been able to have the kids' rooms windows open, but now I swear it's coming in through the air vent in our room at the front of the house. I wake up feeling like I've been sitting in a bar all night (in the old days when people could smoke there). Plus this house is just way too small for growing teenagers, they really need a space of their own now. Rentals are scarce here in Cootamundra. But up north there are plenty of houses that would really suit us. Phill has always wanted to move back to near where he grew up and I do love the area. But what damage are we doing to Josh in particular? I just don't know what the answer is.
I've spent most of this looooong weekend watching the Frasier marathon. We never watched it when it was on TV, only since we've had Austrar/Foxtel but it was such a well written show, so clever and funny and I enjoyed vegging out watching some episodes I've never seen before.
Bloody pizza place was closed last night and tonight, the kids walked down and got chips and stuff for our dinner tonight, Phill is at work and will have to find his own meal.
Wish me luck for the coming school term. I HOPE I have learned something from all this crap with my Emily.

I hope this term is exciting for all our kids, and that they learn something new to share with us at home. Of course, they will share it when they are ready and not when we ask them to, lol
