Our Phill's Got a New Motor

We bought our first lawnmower when we'd been married less than a year.  Sarah was still alive and she will turn 17 in May.  Recently Mitre 10 had a sale and this mower was a really good price so we lay byed it.  Today Phill just had to get it out, and as you can see, the grass badly needed cutting.  He's so funny he loves getting "man appliances".  I guess I'm the same with kitchen and home stuff.  He showed me how to use it and it's really easy compared to the old one and has a grass catcher.  Our old catcher broke years ago.  So our lawn looks spiffy and he's happy.
We went to the club for lunch and had some fun on the pokies (yep slot machines, Pat).  It was really like the old days, we just chatted and laughed and were silly.  We talked about Em and the problems with her and I felt that we really reconnected.  I think we've both learned from recent events.  I hope we have anyway.
I couldn't get an appointment for my hair today but luckily rang again when I got home and got in for tomorrow and bravely asked for the hairdresser that I wanted, who did my hair last time I got foils.  No dodgy apprentice for me. ;)
This is where Josh and I would  be living now if I hadn't come to my stupid senses.  I really don't know what I was thinking.
Josh talking to his sister in the, er, kitchen.  Probably too loud.
Bit dark but the main bedroom.  Ugh.
Josh's bug infested room.
Life here at home isn't quite so bad after all really.

:0) Gotcha!
Did a little late night slots with my son last night ( it was Men's night and &20 gets you $10 extra to play with. Same on Tuesday, Ladies Night.
Then went to Walmart for a few groceries at midnight.
Corned beef and veggies today.
Love this being able to shop 24 hours a day and the stores are almost empty then.

Glad a few days brought you two to where you can work together to guide Emily.
After much thought I think Phill feels guilty about him not being there much for his kids and tries to make it up to Emily by siding with her. Could it be????

How many times in past years have I wanted to drive as far away as a tank of gas would take me and find a motel to curl up under the covers and SLEEP,SLEEP,SLEEP.
Too Many! I shit you not!
What you did makes perfect sense to me m/f.

I think we are all entitled to loose our senses on occasion - and isn't it nice when we find them again and our own life looks a little less awful?
glad you had a nice day with Phill - you needed it!
