Cool Change

Woke this morning to much cooler conditions.  I opened the back door to feed the cats, dog and fish and was hit by a beautiful blast of cool, almost cold, air.  So I opened the windows and the front door to let it all into the stuffy house.  We've been spoiled all these years of living in country towns where most houses have ducted a/c.  The two Summers we had in Sydney were horrible in that little house without cooling.  Even here we only have a hole in the wall ancient one but it's much better than nothing, and keeps the living area cool.  I am hoping this year we will find a better house.  The rent is the right price here, very low actually, but I'm sick of my poky falling apart kitchen.  We really need a house with a family room and/or bigger bedrooms for the kids.  I'd still love a house with a bit of land out of town.  No pesky neighbours and we can run chooks again.
