That's my banana smoothie. I've been blending these up in the mornings lately. Just light milk, banana and a tub of my pro biotic lemon creme flavoured yoghurt. Gets some fruit into the diet, plus my calcium and settles my stomach. I take my supplements with it, so good start to the day. Those groovy milkshake glasses we got from the Salvo op shop, three of them for $2. They looked new and I put them through the dishwasher and the kids have been having Milo milkshakes in them.
I got the kids off without too much drama, even Josh who has a new resolve about the bullying problem. I'm in two minds now whether to go up there right away. Emily seems to think he is exaggerating the problem a little and has promised to keep an eye on him and intervene if necessary and that I shouldn't rush up to the school just yet. I respect her opinion, and she is actually there and sees what goes on, and I'm not. Josh is a drama king at times (wonder where he gets THAT from?)
Yesterday we went to Wagga. Wagga Wagga as it's properly called is a fairly big city, it's the biggest inland city in NSW with a population of about 47,000. When we lived in Junee it was our main shopping centre, it was only about 40kms away. Now of course it's close to 100km so we don't go there very often. But when we do we're like country bumpkins in the big smoke. It's so great to have so much choice. I got Em some new bras, and a bikini top (she wears boardies with them), we went to Jay Jays, a great "hip" shop with teenager clothes, mostly t shirts. Em got a t shirt, a couple of necklaces some nail polish and lip gloss, all so cheap. I got Josh two t shirts including this funny one. For non Facebook users, it's a reference to Farmville and how obsessed some of us get with it.
I love the cow poking out his tongue. I also got myself a new maxi dress. I love those light floaty dresses, so cool and comfortable. This one has straps and I would even wear it out, not like my other strapless one.
See my blue toenails? I pinched Emmy's nail polish.
I got stuff in Coles that I can't get here, like Chinese cooking wine and panko crumbs. We got these great little snack thingies made from nori, the seaweed sheets that are used to make sushi. They are in little packs of about five strips and are flavoured and really tasty. Will stock up on those next trip. Probably too much salt in them though. We had lunch, they have an Indian takeaway in the Sturt Mall now which was nice. Josh moaned and whined the whole time, he hates shopping. On the way home we picked up some fresh blue eyed cod and school prawns from the fisho who parks outside the big butcher on Thursdays. He's expensive but it's a rare treat to get seafood that is fresh and hasn't been frozen which is mostly all we can get here.
Emily wants to start making sushi again so we got a new bamboo mat, and some nori, sushi rice and pickled ginger. She is going to make some this afternoon with smoked salmon and leftover prawns from last night. It's a really healthy snack. I must cook the rice and cool it for her.
We went to the big Salvo op shop in Wagga and Phill got some lawn bowls for $20. Josh plays that for sport at school and Phill wants to take it up.
I don't think it's meant to be played inside in the hallway.
They used a rock for the white ball.
My pretty girl.
And I finally got my shoes!!! I had a really comfortable pair of wedge heel thongs. I like a bit of a heel for going out, it's just a bit more dressy. But they broke on our trip to Albury and I've been trying to get another pair but nowhere had my size. I take a size 11!!! Yesterday we looked in BigW and once again, only smaller sizes until Emily looked again and found one size 11. And they were marked down to $10 so I was very happy. They're black this time too which goes with everything.
Vietnamese Pork Balls for dinner tonight with a big crunchy Asian salad so I'd better get that on now and then a big day of cleaning this messy, dirty house.

LOVE the foot shot! Thats my kind of picture! LOL And yes your blue toes look lovely! :-)
We're talking all foods that are low in Weight Watchers points ........right??? :0)
My head is spinning from learning this point system and how to use my 29 daily allotted points.
Bear with my craziness for awhile.
LOL
FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD
You'll get the hang of it. I still remember points for most things over ten years later! It's all changed now of course.
And yes our dinner tonight was low fat (except for the fried rice which I don't eat).
:) I had a banana shake for brekky too today. It was so nice and light. not over filling and allowed me to do a few things around the house too.
Love those nails! And the bargains at the shops, esp with your shoes. :)
