I couldn't believe how well Emily's goes with her curtains and doona cover.
I think I took these before I realised Phill had put Em's quilt cover on inside out (and it has ruffles!)
That one is Joshy's.
How lovely for them to have something their grandmother made just for them, they will last forever if they take care of them. I love my rug, Mum made it for me for my 34th birthday. I have put it away as the threads were getting pulled a bit, I need to find someone who can repair it for me, Mum doesn't crochet at all now but Phill's mother, who is only a couple of years younger than Mum was told by her doctor to crochet for her arthritis in her hands. Wonder if she'll make one for me?
She gave us two fuchsia plants, she's mad about growing them lately. The last one she gave me died so I'm determined to research them and keep these two going. I might get a couple of hanging pots and hang them under the bottlebrush tree.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh....how lovely!
What beautiful work she does.
As a knitter and crocheter I am fussy about stitches being even and such.
Hers are perfection. :0)
When you used the word R U G ,I expected to see something on the floor as that is what we call floor covering in the states.
This we call an afghan and she made the ripple pattern.
An heirloom for sure.
That was very thoughtful and a loving act on Phil's mothers part.
P.S. Glad to hear Phil pitched in to help you and made your work lighter.
Those actions are so appreciated.
ohhhhhhhhhhh I forgot to mention those plants.
Beautiful they are, BUT!!!
They don't do well in full sun I have found and they also need to be CONSTANTLY deadheaded in order for them to keep producing blooms and not getting (leggy).
That's ALL my knowledge of a fushia plant.
Enjoy!
they are just beautiful
How lovely! Something handmade - and so pleased Phil likes to vacumn!!!!
