I think so. I went and voted at the kids' old primary school (when we lived here before) and surprisingly they had clear memories of the place, they went and explored while I voted. They were quite little then, Em turned 9 when we lived here then so Josh would have only been 7 or so. It was a good school apart from one awful teacher who I had several run ins with. She had a set against Joshy for some reason. I saw her recently in the supermarket and she obviously thought she knew us but couldn't quite place us. She smiled at me and I scowled back. Bitch.
I shudder to think how much all that literature, posters etc costs the various political parties. It was everywhere, and four schools in our town had polling booths. I don't ever take the stuff they try to hand me, I know very well how to vote and have researched it all by the time I walk into that hall.
It's still sooo cold. I have both heaters on and have been sitting here with a throw around me. I made the best beef curry, it tastes amazing. It's the one I usually make with lamb but for some reason Josh asked if I could make it with beef instead so I got some gravy beef and have had it simmering on the stove for a few hours and it's way better than the lamb I think. And beef is cheaper so I will probably make it that way from now on. I whacked some pureed broccoli in it and will put some in the fried rice I will make for the kids. I'll just have basmati rice with some vegies and the leftover raita from the Butter Chicken I made the other day, which was a huge hit with the kids so I'll do that more often. It's good now the kids are getting older and more willing to taste new foods and eat spicy things. They're out at the basketball hoop again, that was money well spent. They're determined to get fitter and improve their basketball skills. Also I hope the constant thumping of their balls on the cobblestones really pisses off the little tiny spies next door, just like their incessantly barking dog does to me every single afternoon for several hours. They scootered down and got some modelling clay and spent ages making incredible figurines. I love that they're so creative.
I think the Lodge might need to get in a big supply of carrots come tomorrow morning.
