As the kids said when I told them what had happened. I had to drive Phill to Junee to work this morning (local jobs yay!!) and then did some grocery shopping and when I got home I saw that the dead tree, that we had told both agent and crazy landlady would fall down, had indeed fallen down. Totally uprooted and the roots were brown and dry and rotten. It's lucky nobody was home and in the yard or that it didn't fall the other way onto someone's car. It lay with it's spindly top leaning on the corner of the front porch roof. I immediately rang Phill so we could have a giggle over it and then did the lawful thing and called the agent. So the crazy landlady and her poor henpecked husband came over, rather too quickly (I suspect the little tiny fat lady next door was watching, watching and phoned them before I got home). They spent the afternoon on our front yard, he chainsawing the horrible dead tree and her trying to peer in our windows. I closed up the house early today. ;) All the curtains at the front were drawn by 4pm. I had to go up to school early this afternoon to get away after I saw CL scurry over to the fence to talk to the tiny little fat person next door, I could hear their screechy little voices through my bedroom window as I put away washing and knew if I didn't decamp I'd end up going out there and I'm not going to lower myself. We're now 100% sure it was the next door neighbours who started all this stuff. It's a bit sad really, to have nothing better in your life than spy on neighbours and make petty pointless phone calls. Anyway the ugly tree is almost gone, they have to come back and finish the job but I think I might drive up to Young tomorrow just to get away. I have to take the paintings down and leave them at the drop off point. Julie asked if we were going to the exhibition opening on Friday night, but I know what these things are like and I really don't want to hang about with a bunch of arty farty up themselves types. So we'll go with the rest of the regular folk over the weekend. I just hope nobody buys the shark painting because I've fallen in love with it and I REALLY want it.
Loving the 30 odd million dollar law suit against retail giant David Jones re sexual harrassment. The "boys club" needs to be stopped once and for all. I've worked with some real corkers over the years, especially in real estate, who would think they could say anything and get away with it. And they usually did, as the minions were scared of losing their jobs.

Karma for the landlords I'd say.
I didn't read back far enough to find out what the roly poly neighbor did, but maybe she will fall and roll away. I love reading about your meals...i just know you are a fabulous cook. I love Emily's watercolors. good luck to her. Thank you for all of your encouraging comments my friend.
hahahaha bloody ha - the landlords deserved this - but again very lucky no one was killed - keep all complaints like this in writing just in case something does fall on your car or something - I reckon
