I have a Man Cold

It's either mild flu or a really, really nasty headcold but I feel awful.  I'm usually okay with being sick, I'm a mother after all!  But I've been in bed or on the lounge all day with my vaporiser and my honey and lemon and the cold and flu tablets that Phill went down and got me.  Chemist only opens for an hour on Sunday.  So I've been whingeing all day just like a girl (read man).  I did get some Vietnamese Pork Balls into the slow cooker this morning so that's dinner done once we make the Asian salad and a quick and easy fried rice.  Only a couple of weeks of Winter left thank goodness, it's been a miserable one this year weather wise.

We're trying to plan my birthday dinner in Melbourne.  We'll eat out for lunches as you can't go to Melbourne without trying out the amazing restaurants there but for evening meals we'll cook.  I've heard so much about the QV Markets and we've done a bit of research on the fresh produce.  I'm thinking crocodile sausages, crab in some form and a sea scallop recipe.  Probably some oysters too.  I've gone off prawns a bit since we got those awful frozen ones in Junee that I got for fried rice.  There's a shop that sells emu as well, so we'll check that out.  I once had emu proscuitto in a restaurant and it was great.  That was the first time I'd eaten crocodile too and I loved it but when we tried to cook it (it had been frozen) it didn't turn out too well.

Well we had an early dinner and with all that garlic and chilli I'm sweating and that has to be a good thing for a cold.

Did I mention I had a cold?
