Bloody Cat Woke me Up Again!

I love our Harley Rose, she is my cat, weird though she has always been.  But she is a meower.  At 2 or 3 am.  She decides she wants to eat/go outside and will meow at my door and if I don't get up, starts scratching at it.  So I have started grabbing her and putting her in the laundry with the dog, who gets locked in there every night to sleep in his cosy little bed.  I am hoping this will teach her that night time is for sleeping.  I might just have to put her in there with him before I go to bed though as the message doesn't seem to be getting through.  When I got up this morning to put her in Scout got out and I couldn't get him to come inside.  I just got up to get some water and called him and he jumped over the side trellis, I didn't even know he could do that, but it means he's been out in the front yard and that scares me, we live on a truck route and it's really busy at all hours.  Anyway he's back inside and Harley and Max are hopefully asleep in the laundry.  Not sure where Max will sleep in the new house as the laundry is inside, but there are a few sheds and a huge garage so I'm sure we'll find somewhere for him to sleep during the coming Winter, he takes the weather extremes harder each year as he moves into doggy old age.
I didn't cook the beef, we ended up ordering pizza.  Emily stayed the whole day at school and didn't ring or text me once.  I bought her a little pot of her favourite caviar as a treat to reward her for sticking out this first term.  She and Josh hung out together and laughed for hours last night, it's a beautiful sound, nothing like the sound of your children laughing and happy.
Phill will be home tomorrow, and our quiet little life will change, it's been really nice here without him in some ways, but it will be good to have him home.
So I've been awake since 2.30am and it's now 4.30.  Glad I don't have to be anywhere or really do anything much today.
My hair turned out better than usual, but it still needs toning.  Emily's comment that I look like a really old version of Miley Cyrus was unnecessary.  That child makes me laugh every single day.  Lucky for her she is so charming and funny, it's probably the only thing that has kept me from throttling her sometimes.
Looking forward to our holiday, and our new house and having fun planning the anniversary trip.  I booked a second night so we will stay the night before our anniversary and do the dinner cruise then have the actual anniversary day and night as well.  I'm trying to source some 1993 wine, and have a few other ideas as well.  20 years is the "China" anniversary, and since we had our wedding reception at a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown in Sydney we will follow through and have our second celebration at an excellent Chinese restaurant in Canberra near our hotel.
Still feeling very uneasy about Mandy's pregnancy, I talked to my sister about it and she was more positive than I am feeling.  Mandy is 32 and should know better.  Do we ever stop worrying about our children?
