This is the worst "cold" I think I've ever had. It's so severe, and seems to go on forever. Sometimes I think I'm getting better then it hits me again. Very weird. I put the inspection off till Friday.
Tomorrow I have to take Emily to the school for our talk with the whatever they are. Should be interesting getting her out of bed to get into the taxi by 8.45am. She has no motivation and both Phill and I are doubting that going back to school is going to work but what else can we do? We have to at least try even if it's just going to be a huge waste of everybody's time. What is going to become of her is anyone's guess.
Got my Christmas cards in the mail yesterday and I am pretty happy with them, nothing though, will ever top our 2010 effort.
I am just not in the spirit yet, but I need to sit down and get them all ready to send at some point. I haven't even wrapped any presents. Phill and I really aren't buying each other gifts this year, he wants a dart board and I will find something for me that they can get me, but I got a stubbie holder made for him with Christmas photos of the kids, the one above included with "Merry Christmas Daddy" on it from the same place we got our cards. He is horrible to buy for, he never likes anything but he won't be able to complain about that one.
We had to go and pick up Phill from Junee after school yesterday and got take away pizza for the first time in ages and because we hardly ever do that anymore everyone really enjoyed it, and I enjoyed not having to cook! Today though, even though I was still unwell, I got up and made a lovely lasagne and we had that with garlic bread and a big salad. The meat sauce had carrot and celery and pureed cauli and broccoli so everyone got some veg into them. I have nailed the lasagne since I started making it my own way without a recipe, and I have discovered fresh lasagne sheets. OMG I will never use dried again, the fresh is so easy to work with, and it tastes better and I can freeze the leftover sheets so now I have enough frozen to make another two lasagnes. Yes I'm a slow learner.
And a tired one. Enough for tonight.

Good luck with your meeting. She must be nearly old enough not to go anymore. She will find her place eventually, everyone does. More than likely one day she will just wake up and know just what it is she wants to do and go for it. Our kids had big plans and all ended up doing something different. School does not prepare kids for the real world, just confuses them I think. Gem is after doing well at school, going to uni, leaving, then working and back to TAFE finally settling in with Vet nursing and loving it. She could have just gone to vet nursing in the first place and not wasted all those years, but who is to know hey? Thats life. Hugs xoxoxox
I love fresh pasta of any kind..
I think I have the same damn cold as you! Where do you get fresh pasta? Please don't tell me you make your own, cause I will never be able to do that!
