Another really nice, relaxing weekend. Phill has got a handle on the pool maintenance now and it's looking really good just in time for this warmer weather. It had been neglected, like the house, by the previous tenants, and probably beyond them as well and there was a dirty stain around the water line. The water was low as he was trying to figure out the deal with the water going from the pool to the spa and vice versa so I suggested we use Gumption (a cream paste cleanser that will clean about anything) and wipe it straight off as we went. So we did, I got in and he was on the side with a bucket of water. It worked. The pool looks so much better. I swam all weekend and it was nice to enjoy the clean water.
Talked to my Katy last night which was nice, she is flying to Brisbane this morning with some friends to see a band. It's good to see my workaholic daughter taking some time off work. She is acting manager at her store now and earning almost as much a year as her father is!
Phill put all the fairy lights up on the back porch yesterday too and it looks very festive out there.
This novel approach which I call "living within our means" has Phill rattled a bit but is going very well. I got the necessary bills paid and we have enough to live quite well till we get back on our feet a bit. It's lovely to look at the bank account online and not see the credit cards there, just the loan amount which we can watch go down steadily instead of the stupid credit card debt not going anywhere!
My back is much better, I was right in my instinct to just rest it and manage the pain myself rather than rushing off to the doctor.
Tonight we're having this for dinner tonight with fried rice.
Trying to get washing dry, sheets and towels and clothes but it looks like it might rain, very overcast and muggy.

We used to have a pool years ago - it was just so lovely - I love to swim but have to find a place close yet. Glad your back has eased
