We stopped at Maccas at Goulburn on our way to Sydney last Friday, we went through the drive through and had to pull aside and wait (for our wrong order as usual). As we were sitting there I glimpsed a man going in the front doors, this was through the side windows and thought he looked just like an old school friend, who I haven't seen in person since we were kids, but have seen photos of on Facebook. He was with a young girl who looked about the age of his youngest daughter. When we got home I emailed him and asked if he was there and sure enough he was. How weird is that? He and his partner live in Canberra. I was never close to him but his mother and mine were very close friends when we all lived in Sawtell together, Glenn was in my year in high school.
Sad news last night about our friend Dot. Barry and Dot lived near us in Gunnedah when Barry worked for Phill when Phill was the boss up there, and they came to Junee with us when the company folded up and they worked together again with a new company. We used to socialise a lot and then they moved away and are now in Adelaide. Dot had breast cancer years ago and came through it but it has returned and she isn't doing so well, and having chemo. She is just one of the nicest people, and the children still remember her after all the years they've been gone. Just not fair.
Pat if you're reading this, I can't comment on your blog, I can read the blog itself but can't see comments or leave any. Hope everything's okay with you.
Not a lot else happening, we're starting to think about going back to school and getting Em sorted with her distance education. We haven't heard back as to whether she's been accepted but we're going to fill out the enrolment forms and send them off anyway, they can't really knock us back as she isn't safe at school here.
