Well for us anyway. Josh did his last exam, maths, yesterday so that's it for the year. It's a few weeks earlier than the official school year ends but they don't do any learning after the exams and he can have a longer holiday this year after a difficult year for all of us.
It's been raining steadily for a couple of days now, great for us home gardeners, not so good for the farmers who were on the verge of harvest, poor buggers. Water was over the causeway further up our street yesterday and I had to turn the car around and go home the long way. If it keeps up we'll have flooding in the creek I daresay.
I see on the early news that it's raining all up the east coast, and in Western Australia down Margaret River way there are awful bushfires, a result of a controlled burn-off gone wrong.
It's quarter to seven am and I am just about to get in the car and make the 50km drive to Junee to pick up Phill, not looking forward to that and he can drive home. I went up to Young yesterday to put some $$ on the Christmas lay by and I swear it was fuckwits day out, every idiot was on the roads doing ridiculously stupid things. The wind was so strong I really had to keep control of the car as it was being buffetted along an open stretch of road.
Okay I'm off.

Summer there....winter here...it seems so downright un-natural that school ends in our cold months, BUT afterall it's warm where you are. ;0)
