Never a dull moment that's for sure. We got married at the Sydney Registry Office and our wedding reception was held at a Chinese restaurant in Sydney's Chinatown. We met in July, found out we were pregnant in September, got engaged in October and married in November. And that kind of set the tone for our married life really. I was fifteen weeks pregnant on our wedding day, hence the linen peach coloured maternity suit. Our honeymoon was spent at Coolum on Queensland's Sunshine Coast in a beautiful high rise unit right on the beach that at the time belonged to Phill's brother and parents. I was so sick with morning sickness and we barely knew each other and I missed little Katy so much so it wasn't the happiest of honeymoons. And of course the baby I carried was to die before our first anniversary and our life together hasn't always been easy but there have been some truly happy times, a lot of love and fun and some amazing adventures that never would have happened if I hadn't met my husband.
I still don't know what I'm going to cook for our celebration dinner tonight, I'm waiting for him to ring to come and get him from Junee.
The fuschias survived and are blooming. Phill's mum gave us a couple of plants. See how close the spying old people are to us, that's their window in the background.
Phill's strawberry plant has borne fruit! He's persistent I'll give him that. He keeps buying them and they keep dying. I told him he should cover this one with some netting but he didn't and I wager a bird will have this morsel in a day or so.
Kittens are unbearably cute and very adventurous. That's Bad Bad Leroy Brown, Jack, and Raphael with the eye half closed, I think his brother swiped him with a claw, they play very rough. But they are well socialised with us and will make someone lovely pets in a few weeks.
And now this, from Emily's photoshopping yesterday.
Perhaps Chum should be on the menu tonight? Woof.
