Bit of a nod there to one of my all time favourite movies "The Castle". I was a bit worried how the meatballs would turn out but they were excellent. The flavour of the fennel and the lemon zest was very good and the chilli flakes I added to the sauce gave it just the right kick. I made some garlic bread out of some leftover hamburger rolls, just cut them, not all the way through, into four fingers and spread with garlic, butter and Italian herbs. Opened them up just before serving to crisp and they were perfect. The curly fettucine was good too, but I should have broken it. I gave Em a sample dish of the pasta and meatballs to have with her sub and garlic bread and she said it was a bit hard to eat.
I just watched one of the shows Oprah Winfrey did in Australia. Whether you're a fan or not, you have to warm to someone who comes to your country and loves it almost as much as we do. It's like someone loving your kids, certainly endearing. She has great taste in countries.

Yum . . . it's 1:00 a.m. here and now I'm starving . . . thanks so much for posting that delightful meal.
As far as Australia . . . if someone told me I had to move to another country tomorrow, I would pack my bags and head to Melbourne. I LOVE Australia and its people. I've been there on three different trips, and I have fond memories of each time.
Hey, I eat Australian food every week at the OUTBACK.
LMAO at my own joke. ;0)
Do like my Oprah, but hubby wants his dumbass "judge" programs at that time of day.
Have to agree....from what I've seen in pictures and on the boob tube....your country is GORGEOUS!!!
well crap ..now I'm hungry
We loved the Castle too! excellent food is served up in Foxy's house - its eggs here tonight but I did shout myself something really nice for lunch - and it only cost $15 it was grilled prawn and scallop skewers on top of salad with home made chips - and the seasoning was to die for - but I didn't cook this!!!
