Bloody Telstra

Lost phone and broadband just after 9am yesterday.  Phill rang India (that's where they hide) and they told him it would be fixed by Thursday.  We had already reported a bad line, sounded "dirty" to me how it gets after a lot of rain.  Anyway fortunately we rang again this morning and found out they thought they'd fixed it yesterday at the thingy up on the corner but it had broken again so the guy came this morning and hey presto it was fixed.  Never believe Telstra, ever.  The Indian had a totally different story, they make it up as they go.
Anyway we're back on and I realised just how much I depend on the net and rightly so.  It's as much a part of our daily lives now as television, or the telephone is and I can't remember life without either one of those.
We didn't even have a tv programme last night so had to *gasp* flick through the channels to see what was on.  I usually keep the tv guide on my laptop as it has the pay tv stuff on there as well.  I pretty much always read biographies these days and as I read I like to look up various names and movies etc that are mentioned.  My pre sleep read last night was not so much fun. ;)
All is well here, life is rthymic and peaceful right now, Phill is home till Friday when he just works a local job and back again.  Emily is being an angel and I am picking my battles with her with resounding success.  For now.  I am feeling so much better, a little bit more each day and sticking religiously to my eating and supplement plans.  Exercise as always is my stumbling block but I'm busy in the house so that's better than nothing.  No excuse for me not to swim though, the pool is just down the street and costs nothing.
The weather is beautiful here, warm sunny days and cool nights.  Last night we bbqed and actually ate outside.  A few flies about but it was lovely.
Phill was offerred a promotion in Gunnedah.  He would have been boss, and with a car and a wage increase but much as I would love to go back there some day, I had to say no.  I promised the kids we'd stay here until they finished high school and slowly they are settling in and finding their niche at school.  Gunnedah was lovely when we lived there but that was ten years ago and as we found with Junee, towns can change a lot.  Emily only has three years of high school and Joshua five.  Five years ago we were in Western Australia and the time since then has gone by in the blink of an eye.
